Kellie Martin is an American TV and film actress popular for her role as Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series 'Christy Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama as well as Lucy Knight in the medical drama "ER". Her other notable roles include playing the title role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin was the daughter of a department shop buyer and a kindergarten instructor. She began acting in the age of seven when her aunt, a nanny in Michael Landon's family, helped Martin find a role as an actor on the TV show Father Murphy. When she graduated of Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness with roles that she was able to land on the small and large screen. Martin has a background as an actor, as well as an accomplished photographer and dancer has been in the business for more than twenty years. Two daughters are hers Martin is the Lupus representative and promotes awareness of the illness daily since the loss of her sister, who was age 19.
